in Rapid City, South Dakota
starting on 5/1/23

Pay Package

  • $1570 Weekly Gross
  • $31.50 Blended Hourly
  • $11 Hourly TAXED
  • $38 OT
  • $410 Weekly ($10.25/hr) NON-TAXED Meals Stipend
  • $410 Weekly ($10.25/hr) NON-TAXED Housing Stipend
  • 48 Hours GUARANTEED
  • 13 weeks starting 5/22/23
  • 12 hour variable shift - no guarantee of Days or Nights, could be Day/Night or Mid – would depend on need; all contracts are for 48 hrs./week; manager will try to accommodate every other weekend, but this is not guaranteed. Every other holiday. possible on call first 3 weeks of August with no RTO during that time

Requirements

  • Travelers must live >100 miles away from any Monument facility
  • 2 years of ER/Critical care CNA experience
  • BLS Certification

Position Summary

  • CNA in critical care or urgent care environments, EMT experience or EMT certification (preferred) - would not want someone that has only worked as an EMT, ability to remain calm in high stress environments
  • During the interview make sure traveler understands they will be assisting with stocking, transporting, observer of patients (sitting), setting up rooms, EKG’s; can assist with splinting (only if checked off/certified); and that travel techs will assist with very few procedures – many previous travelers have expected to be able to do more than what is allowed at this facility will rotate between care areas every 4-6 hours so flexibility is key
  • NO Critical Care or Trauma Patients, No PRIMARY Triage, unless second tech in triage or until we are confident in their abilities
  • No Procedures other than Laceration and Paracentesis SetupsBeds: 50 to include Vertical care and hallway beds
  • 150-180 patients seen daily
  • Neonates - Geriatrics
  • Stroke Center and Cardiac with interventions
  • Minor to critical patients seeking care in the ED
  • EMR: Epic, Omnicell, alaris, Space Labsk, Vocera Communication System
  • Dress code: provided
