Staffmax Healthcare is seeking a Permanent Surgical Tech or LPN for a Labor and Delivery Unit in Norman, OK

Salary

• Salary Range: $17.39/hour - $28.40/hour (dependent on previous work experience)
• Shift and Weekend Differentials available.

Shift Information

• Day shift
• Potential shifts: 8hr. (0630-1500), 10hr. (0630-1700), and 12hr. (0630-1900) -- will be discussed further during interview.
• Weekends: 6 Call Shifts/Month
• On call: 1 Full Weekend/Month

Requirements

• Must have completed accredited Surgical Technology program or must have five (5) consecutive years training/experience as a Surgical Tech
• Or LPN with one (1) year surgical tech
• National Certification
• At least one year of experience as a Surg Tech in L&D
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS)
• If Certified, Surgical Technologist must have current certification.
• Currently Oklahoma LPN license, if applicable.

Position Summary

• Labor & Delivery Surgical Technologists demonstrate teamwork, ensuring the sterile environment is maintained, and keeping a safe environment for their patients. They orient new Surg Techs to all of our surgical areas by providing an extensive orientation with a dedicated preceptor in which Surg Techs become proficient in all of our service lines. The Surg Tech would be responsible for assisting the surgeon during the operative procedure, and maintain a safe and aseptic environment in the Operating Room area.
