Staffmax Healthcare is looking for a Permanent Staff Accountant in Coos Bay, OR

- Salary Range: $60,000 - $80,000

Position Requirements
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
- One (1) or more years of accounts payable/general ledger experience in a medium to large facility
Submittal Requirements
- Resume with previous work history including name of facility, start and end dates, manager name and phone
- Explanations of any work history gaps of 90+ days within the chronology of the resume
- RTO no more than 5 days - if none, please specify "none" so we know it wasn't overlooked
- Interview availability for the following 3-5 business days (2 specific dates/times)

POSITION SUMMARY
- Accountant III: Responsible for providing financial records that ensure effective, efficient and accurate financial operations. Under direction from management and using independent judgement, performs advanced and specialized accounting assignments. Responsible for assisting with conversion from legacy system to Workday Enterprise Resource Planning software, general accounting functions including, but not limited to, preparing journal entries, maintaining balance sheet reconciliations, assisting with monthly closing, account analysis, and supporting management in carrying out the responsibilities of the accounting department. Provides special project assistance to management. The Accountant is responsible for performing accounting tasks in a timely and accurate manner.
- The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, must be a quick learner, and will be comfortable working in accounting systems
- Must be able to establish effective working relationships with senior management and staff at all levels of the organization.
- Demonstrated ability to work and interact in cross-functional relationships
- Excel knowledge is required, as this position will work with complex Excel spreadsheets on a monthly basis
- Must be able to manage tight deadlines
- Maintains regular, consistent and punctual attendance at the assigned job location
